James Newcomb is a trumpeter and specialist in the art of broadcast media and entrepreneurship for musicians. He founded Trumpet Dynamics in January, 2016 as a podcast that interviewed trumpeters of all ability levels and experiences and from all over the world. It has since evolved into a resource for trumpeters to learn and master the tools, techniques and most important, the mindset required for musicians to prosper in the modern world.
James is a 12 year veteran of the U.S. Army bands. Since leaving the military in late 2015, he has established a private trumpet studio and performs as a freelance musician in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area.
In addition to his commitments to the Trumpet Dynamics brand, James also operates a podcast and blog titled, MusicPreneur: Making Money Making Music. Publishing a new episode every day, Monday thru Friday, it has become a respected resource for musicians of all genres to assist in their efforts of monetizing their musical skills.
She began her copywriting business in 2008 and has a broad range of experience writing for several markets, including financial, health, fine art, music, fine dining, wine, small business, entrepreneurship, crowdfunding, politics, non-profit fundraising, parenting, science and education.
Troy Dowding is a freelance musician from Hamilton Ontario and is fast becoming one of the most in demand trumpet players in the greater Toronto area.
His life as a musician began when he started playing trumpet at 12 years old and in his own words, “I knew from the first day that I was going to be a professional trumpet player. Playing trumpet for some reason came naturally to me.”
Troy current plays 150+ nights a year with many of the top bands in Toronto and is on the music faculty at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.
