Trump Bans “Trumpet” via Executive Order

For Immediate Release:

President Donald Trump has ordered an outright ban of the word “trumpet” from the American lexicon effective immediately.

Executive Order 109791 (read the full order) states in part that the trumpet, while a “longstanding instrument with a respectable history”, unlawfully bears the name, image and likeness of the President, and is thereby banned from use in public places.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is expected to comment further on Mr. Trump’s executive order during her morning briefing on Thursday February 20.
